³ Judah fathered Perez and Zerah by Tamar, ^(A)Perez fathered Hezron, and Hezron fathered ^[a]Ram.

¹⁴ For it is evident that our Lord ^[a]was ^(A)descended from Judah, a tribe with reference to which Moses said nothing concerning priests.
